The MAP (Making a Place) team is a group of diverse students supporting the Open Circle community through their engagement and collaboration in Open Circle events/reflection circles and their active presence in the OC community.
"Open Circle provides a spiritual haven of sorts for McMaster students, one that seeks to be completely inclusive. Whatever race, religion, or ethnic background, students are welcome to share and learn with others. Through weekly discussion groups, I’ve deepened my sense of self through meditation, art, and dialogue in a safe environment that is collaborative and supportive. I was encouraged to take ownership and to make an active contribution in the Open Circle community. There are no ‘leaders’ to impose an agenda - at every step Open Circle seeks out participation and consensus from everyone and is an example of what a more inclusive and co-creative community can be." – Open Circle student
