Our son and brother, Ryan Elder was a young man and a gifted athlete who embodied strength, dedication, resiliency and compassion. His accomplishments were balanced with a kind heart and a hope to give back to others . Inclusivity and random acts of kindness were Ryan’s gifts to the world.
Ryan’s vibrancy, athleticism, his gift of friendship and his pure zest for Life live forever in our Hearts.
To honour Ryan’s love of athletics, his distinguished sportsmanship, and his mentorship through coaching , our Family is committed to fund research programs for those affected by ; brain injury and sport concussions , to support mental wellness health initiatives and to enrich athletic and coaching programs for youth.
Our Charities of focus include The Canadian Sports Concussion Project at the Toronto General and Western Hospital , Campfire Circle ( formerly Camp Ooch childhood cancer camp ) and CAMH ( Centre for Addiction and Mental Health ).
