Canadian winters can feel long - and after a month into the New Year all of those great resolutions seem to fade and motivation wains - So this year I want to try something different and something with all of you to stay motivated, committed and invested in feeling good by doing good for ourselves and for others.
I've selected my favorite charity, an organization near and dear to my heart - Stepping Stones International (SSI) to be the beneficiary of this challenge. Over the next 28-days in February my hope is that together we can generate $2800 (or more) to make a difference. As, many of you know out of the decade I spent living and working in Botswana - 7 of those years were with SSI. I've never experienced another organization better able to stretch a dollar to make meaningful impact for children and youth, their families and their communities.
Stepping Stones International, in a non-profit with a mission to unlock the potential of orphaned and vulnerable children and youth ages 12-25 through holistic development, strengthening families and activating sustainable opportunities to become self-sufficient. www.steppingstonesintl.org
So this February I'm inviting you to step into action with me, for you and for the children and youth at Stepping Stones International.
It's quite simple -
Step 1. Like and link this page so others will see it and instantly and enthusiastically want to join in, make it a team challenge at work,
Step 2. Contribute $28 dollars to the fundraising efforts - a dollar a day to demonstrate your investment in this challenge ($$ will be sent to Stepping Stones International in Botswana via Orfund Foundation) - Any contribution big or small is welcome.
Step 3. Choose your own adventure for your 28 day challenge (10,000 steps, 28-push up, 28 squats, drink 8 glasses water or whatever you choose)
Step 4. Each day for the 28 days in February post your progress
After 28 days we all win and feel better about making a difference for ourselves and others.
