Holiday Beach Migration Observatory (HBMO) relies on your membership and donations. We are raising funds to cover our expenses for our hawk counting and bird banding programs. HBMO is celebrating 50 years of raptor counting and 32 years of bird banding! HBMO is a non-profit volunteer organization, dedicated to the study and long-term monitoring of migratory bird populations during the spring and fall seasons. Over 50 years we have counted almost 4 MILLION raptors, and millions of songbirds and butterflies.
We create educational programs for the general public that are carried out at our fall Festival of Hawks, at Holiday Beach. We also collaborate with the University of Windsor, Department of Biological Sciences, and Ornithology Program.
