- Through online and in-person youth-led, interactive presentations, we empower youth to build resilience and have a voice related to mental health and wellness, substance use, bullying prevention, online issues, racism and other relevant topics
- Give a message of respect, hope and empathy
“Young people are more likely to experience mental illness and/or substance use disorders than any other age group. Without access to support or resources, many will turn to negative coping strategies, including self-harm, substance misuse and even suicide.” - CMHO, 2020
- Helps get youth who are struggling connected to resources
- Provides leadership training and coaching – $5,000/year for one youth speaker
- Supports interactive programs for grades Primary-Post-Secondary, parents, educators
Now, more than ever, youth are facing mental health challenges as new stressors, equity and online issues have increased, along with concerns about their futures – there is so much for them to navigate in today’s changing world.
- For youth, by youth’ programs aim to: Increase resilience, Increase self-worth, Increase empathy, Increase awareness of resources
- Deliver 280 programs reaching 50,000 throughout Ontario this year
Early identification leads to better outcomes: health, school attendance, cost-savings to healthcare, justice and social systems.

MISSION: To create important conversations promoting well-being, compassion and hope, by empowering youth to share personal stories and coping strategies through in-person and online presentations.
About YouthSpeak Performance Charity Organization
YouthSpeak contributes to the mental health and well-being of students and youth who may be facing challenges, especially in our new normal of today's world, by creating awareness that these issues impact everyone in the community. We train youth to share their personal stories and positive coping tools in assembly and workshops for students, parents and educators.
For every student who deals with horrible anxiety or feelings of isolation and uncertainty, YouthSpeak aims to help them feel less alone and inspires them to reach out and ask for help. For parents who live with the struggles of trying to support their child through these challenges, YouthSpeak gives a voice of hope with a goal of reaching 50,000 youth this year through our virtual presentations.
