À propos de cet organisme

The Savary Island Land Trust Society (SILT) is a non-profit registered charity dedicated to the protection of natural areas and biological diversity on Savary Island. When SILT began in 1997, there was no protected land on Savary Island. Today through our efforts and those of The Nature Trust of BC, the Province of BC and the Friends of Savary Island, one third of Savary is protected. SILT stewards twenty parcels of land on Savary Island and is involved in sand ecosystem restoration, public education and land acquisition. SILT is continuing its legacy of conservation on Savary since 1997.
