The Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) is a not-for-profit society that has specialized in improving the presence and influence of talent in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in Canada since 1981.

Youth Engagement Programs: Foster early curiosity in STEM and equip youth with the leadership skills necessary to succeed in STEM.
Career Development Programs: Provide networking, skill-building, and leadership opportunities.

SCWIST values the empowerment of women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) – areas that have been traditionally male-dominated in the workforce.

We aim to inspire and connect women by facilitating a positive environment and sense of community around pursuing interests and careers in STEM fields without barriers. SCWIST works to encourage women and girls into STEM–- and keep them there. We are committed to removing the barriers that women face through our public outreach campaigns and community programs.

Our programs and activities strive to boost the numbers, retention and status of women in STEM fields, as well as raise awareness about the status of women in senior technological and leadership roles.
