Aperçu

It is with great excitement the ladies of The Hour-A-Day Study Club announce The Hour-A-Day Study Club’s 90th Anniversary Celebration & Fundraiser. Our esteemed guest speaker will be former Governor General of Canada, The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean. Please join us for a night of celebrating the Windsor-Essex Black community, The Hour-A-Day Study Club’s ninety years of advocacy, and honouring our 2024 scholarship & bursary recipients.

Over the last nine decades, The Hour-A-Day Study Club has tirelessly worked to support Windsor-Essex's Underground Railroad Descended students with scholarship funds, but much more robustly, combating systemic anti-Black racism within Windsor-Essex and throughout the African Diaspora. It is only with the support of folks like you, that we have continued to do so for ninety years! All proceeds of the celebration & fundraiser go straight to The Hour-A-Day Study Club's scholarships & bursaries. All proceeds for The Hour-A-Day Study Club Celebration & Fundraiser go directly to The Hour-A-Day Study Club's Scholarship & Bursaries.

À propos de cet organisme

The Hour-A Day Study Club, is one of the longest running, non-profit, Black women driven organizations in Canada. Established in 1934, The Hour-A-Day Study Club provides African-Canadian youth, that are descendants of the Underground Railroad, with scholarship funds to help finance their post-secondary education. Each year, students graduating from high school within the Windsor/Essex County community are eligible to apply.
