Marv Friesen

Marv Friesen grew up on Saskatoon's westside and feels strongly about improving the lives of the unhoused and less-fortunate. Marv has always had a passion for working with children and has done so for over 30 years. After raising three children of his own, Marv decided to pivot from his work as owner and operator of Marv's Place Auto Repair, and was sworn in as a Member of Legislative Assembly for Saskatoon Riversdale on Oct 26, 2020. Outside of his work in politics, Marv is in 9th year of mentorship with St. John's Community School in partnership with Care and Share, a role that has been incredibly rewarding; as has the program he founded "Rides by Marv" which serves to match underserved communities and families with bikes, including families fleeing the war in Ukraine.
