Early this year, my great grandma Mary went to Hospice to transition in to her next journey.
My grandma raised me my entire life and shaped me to be the person I am today. The two of us were inseparable and had a bond like no other.
Grams and I always dreamed of her walking me down the aisle. Zach, my now husband, and I didn't plan on getting married until 2024 but when Grams fell ill and went to Hospice, we knew that we couldn't get married without her there. 2 days in to Grams hospice stay, we had our wedding there and Grams and I got to live our dream of going down the aisle together.
I can't thank the Hospice team enough for not only helping this dream come true, but for taking care of my grandma with the upmost kindness, compassion and respect.
Grams loved the outdoors, and I'm so excited to do this walk in honor of her - I know she will be with me every step of the way.
