Our Mission
Langley Hospice Society, a community-based non-profit organization, provides compassionate support to help people live with dignity and hope while coping with grief and the end of life.
About LANGLEY HOSPICE SOCIETY
The Langley Hospice Society is committed to providing emotional, practical and spiritual support for people who are living with a terminal illness, their caregivers, family and friends throughout the last stage of illness, at the time of death and during bereavement.
In addition to palliative care and support through the Doug and Fran MacDonald Langley Hospice Residence and in the community, the Langley Hospice Society provides important programs and services, free of charge through their Supportive Program Centre in Langley. These include: individual and group anticipatory, early and ongoing grief support programs for children, teens, adults and families; our Supportive Steps Walking Group for bereaved adults; art, recreation and play-based supports for grieving children and teens; grief support and outreach; community education and training; a 10-week (30 hr) Basic Hospice Training Certificate Training Program; social and physical programs for the grieving, including yoga, and eccentrics; and other volunteer support and training opportunities; education and advocacy and so much more.
