Dr. Saneea Abboud is a palliative care physician serving patients within Cape Breton County’s Palliative Care Service. Since her arrival in Cape Breton 7.5 years ago, Saneea has cared for patients in hospital, at home and within the newly opened,10-bed Hospice. Saneea received her medical degree at l’Université de Sherbrooke, Quebec and her palliative care training from Queen’s University, Ontario.
An avid yogi, Saneea also has an artsy side and enjoys reading, writing, painting, and playing music. While growing up on the southwestern shore of Nova Scotia, Saneea danced throughout high school and was part of an Acadian step-dancing troupe called “La Baie en Joie”.
Always ready to take on new challenges, Saneea has been paired with Lyndsey Fitzgerald, “Cape Breton’s Irish Dancing Queen” to learn and perform an Irish dance- a similar, yet very different type of step-dancing!
