Join me as a participant or donate to my "Hike" as I walk in memory of my loved ones. It's a virtual event this year so I can hike, bike, walk or stroll on my favourite route and at my own pace and still be part of this great event, raising funds for a cause that's important to me.
Hospice Huronia has a hospice home called Tomkins House which provides end-of-life care for residents in North Simcoe and bereavement support to community members who are dealing with loss. Compassionate staff and volunteers take extra steps to ensure the residents and their families are comfortable and at ease - baking, cooking favourite meals and giving of their time.
Its a special place with 50% of their expenses are funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, the rest comes from generous donors and fundraisers.
