The Friends of the Fort St. John Public Library (The Friends) is a community organization and registered charity consisting of volunteers who fundraise and advocate in support of the Fort St. John Public Library (FSJPL). The Friends of the Fort St. John Public Library (The Friends) have a community based membership that works closely with the Fort St. John Public Library (FSJPL). Volunteers from the Friends raise funding for the Fort St. John Public Library through various activities, including annual book sales.

The Friends are a Society under the British Columbia Societies Act, with membership from individuals who reside in Fort St. John and greater area (PRRD Areas B&C). The Friends are required to maintain a Board with a minimium of 5 Directors. The Board holds quarterly meetings and an Annual General Meeting (AGM) each calendar year, which all members are welcome to attend. Additional meetings are scheduled as required to discuss specific fundraising activities.
