FYI Future Fund

the FYI Future Fund supports our community’s youth towards a brighter future through removing barriers and providing the funding support for various forms of education, resources, and system navigation assistance. Every year we run the FYI Future Fund campaign to ease the financial difficulties youth face when pursuing post-secondary education. This year we plan to raise $50,000 to award 25 more youth with $2000 scholarships to use towards their education. Our goal is to raise half of this money ($25,000) by the end of 2023 and we cannot do it alone. Will you join us?

Youth aged 16-29 who live, work, volunteer, and/or go to school within the York-South Weston and Oakwood-Vaughan communities are eligible to apply to receive funding from the FYI Future Fund.

What Your Donation Achieves

Removing the financial barriers for young people pursuing higher education, trades, training, & apprenticeship programs. 

A donation of $95.00 will fund one college application fee for up to five program choices

A donation of $250.00 will fund one university application fee for up to five program choices

A donation of $2000.00 funds post-secondary expenses for one youth (one scholarship)

What We’ve Achieved

• Since 2005, have awarded $210,000 in scholarships to 123 youth
• In 2022-2023 we distributed $34,875 in scholarships & bursaries towards post-secondary education and training for local youth
