À propos de cette campagne

My name is Sum, I'm a wife, mother of 3 and I'm a masters competitive swimmer who is on a mission to swim to Japan for the 2022 FINA World Masters Championship. I was derailed in 2014 from competing in the FINA World Masters when it was held in Montreal, Canada due to a rare neurological movement disorder called Dystonia, which causes the body to have involuntary muscles spasms. Over 50,000 Canadians are impacted by this disorder and my mission to swim to Japan while raising awareness of this debilitating condition. My goal is to swim the 200m Breaststroke (BR) between 2:50:00 and 2:40:00 (in 2014 I had qualified with the time of 3:00:08) which is quite challenging considering my dystonia is triggered by the stress of intense interval training. With 330 days to train, I’ll be pushing my limits in the gym and in the pool and I am confident that I am able to achieve this goal.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and considering to support my mission.
