Everyone is Welcome to Walk or Run 5 km!

Register as an individual and enjoy walking or running along the scenic Detroit River viewing the Sculpture Gardens, Dieppe Gardens, the Detroit Skyline to the Flag at the foot of Ouellette. The turnaround will be at the flag, and return to the Assumption Park North Pavilion.

In-Person Registered Participants will receive a registration gift. Children with an adult do not have to register and attend at no cost. All registered walkers/runners will receive breakfast.

Not comfortable attending an in-person event, register as a Virtual Participant and walk or run 5 km in your neighbourhood between now and October 21, 2023.

Help RE/ACT Windsor-Essex raise funds for much-needed community services! All funds raised will stay in the community which allows us to provide the RE/ACT 12-week outpatient program at no cost. This outpatient program focuses on the complex trauma that fuels addictions and mental illness.

RE/ACT Windsor-Essex is an initiative of the DWCC (Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative).

Since RE/ACT Windsor-Essex was launched three years ago RE/ACT Windsor has been a safe space for individuals to explore and heal from personal trauma and take back control of their life. Over 500 individuals & their families have been impacted by the RE/ACT program. You can support this life-changing program by walking and running along our beautiful riverfront and helping to raise the necessary funds for RE/ACT.

RE/ACT (Recovery Education for Addictions and Complex Trauma) is a 90-day outpatient program that names the numerous ways trauma shapes our lives, thought patterns, behaviours, and health. During Phase 1 & 2 (90 Days) you will identify and understand trauma’s impact on your life, and begin to develop healthy responses to the adversity that we all experience in our daily lives. In Phase 3 (ongoing care) you can continue to nurture healthy friendships that have developed over the first 90 days through afternoon and evening programming designed to support you in your recovery. There is no financial cost to participate and each Monday we welcome new cohort members. As each day goes by you will find a safe space to share your story and begin to integrate the information with your experiences in the past, in the present, and find hope for tomorrow.
