DeafBlind Ontario Foundation raises, invests and directs funds to DeafBlind Ontario Services for programs that support the individuals they serve.

DeafBlind Ontario Services was founded in 1989 by a group of parents determined to secure sustainable services for their children — all born deafblind — as they transitioned into adulthood. In 2021, we amalgamated with Array Services, a leading provider of supports for people are living with a developmental disability and are also Deaf, hard of hearing, or use non-traditional forms of communication.

Today, DeafBlind Ontario Services is Ontario’s largest service provider for peo­ple with sensory loss or communication challenges. We offer access to supported living homes, community-based services, and life-enriching experiences. Our supported living homes in communities across Ontario provide safe, affordable, and barrier-free housing for those in need of 24/7 communication support services.

Staffed by a caring team of trained professionals, and with round-the-clock access to specialized services, our homes are designed to support the unique needs of individuals with sensory loss, encourage the development of life and vocational skills, and offer access to recreational opportunities. Accessibility equipment and design throughout the homes increase space maneuverability, functionality and safety to foster independent living.
