The 6th annual Drop the Puck for Mental Health event is back and better than ever! This fundraiser, organized by the UBC student-run groups Beta Theta Pi and Phi Delta Theta, is set to make an even bigger impact in raising funds and awareness for mental health within the student community.

Since its inception in 2018, Drop the Puck (DTP) has successfully raised over $161,000 for mental health initiatives. The demand for mental health support has continued to rise, particularly among young people. We've observed a growing need for mental health prevention, which is why we are committed to raising funds for the Children and Youth program of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver-Fraser (CMHA-VF)* Branch.

The funds we raise will be directed toward supporting CMHA-VF's youth and children's programs, specifically Here4Peers and UROK. CMHA, Vancouver-Fraser's youth programs are designed to assist children and young individuals affected by mental illness and empower them to take on leadership roles in reducing stigma and increasing awareness about the mental health challenges faced by youth.

This year, our goal is to raise $30,000 for these two vital programs. Your support will play a crucial role in helping us reach this target and in serving youth in the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley region.
