Who We Are
Central Alberta Immigrant Women’s Association (CAIWA) is a charitable, not for profit organization committed to the attainment of social, economic, and cultural inclusion of immigrant women and their families in Central Alberta.
CAIWA offers crucial programs and services to the most vulnerable and isolated segment of our community. Our services and outreach make a difference to the lives of thousands of newcomers in our community of Central Alberta.

The vision of Central Alberta Immigrant Women’s Association is to ensure that immigrant women and their families are empowered to achieve their full potential as members of the Canadian society.

History of CAIWA
Central Alberta Immigrant Women’s Association was incorporated in September 5, 1991 by a group of immigrant women in Red Deer, Alberta. Our target population is immigrant women and their families in Central Alberta.
We have served newcomers from many regions such as: Europe, Middle East, East Asia, Africa, South America and Central America.
