My husband was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2006. He fought this disease with strength, determination, hope and compassion for others. Our family was devastated by this diagnosis but we faced this most difficult challenge as we always have done - together. Dick died on October 1, 2018. As a director with the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and a member of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Supporters of Calgary I am committed to promoting awareness of this disease, supporting patient care and funding research and hopefully a cure.
