Aperçu

A joint concert with the Burlington Concert Band and the Dundas Valley Orchestra to celebrate the return to live music, and to pay tribute to the heroes and heroines over the past two years. 

The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for ticket holders to enjoy the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.

Join the Burlington Concert Band and the Dundas Valley Orchestra, as they celebrate the return to live music, and pay tribute to the heroes and heroines over the past two years of the pandemic.

Joanne Romanow leads the Burlington Concert Band through an celebration of hero music with selections such as the Hymn to the Fallen and Canada's Olympic Theme I Believe.

Laura Thomas leads the Dundas Valley Orchestra as they present a number of tribute pieces of their own, including the Dambusters March and Victory at Sea.

To finish off, the two groups combine to present two very special mass band selections!

À propos de cet organisme

Founded in 1908, the Burlington Concert Band continues to bring audiences a unique blend of musicianship, enthusiasm, and community spirit. The band, comprised of local volunteer musicians, plays a wide variety of musical styles and repertoire. Our band is unique in that we primarily perform to raise money for charitable causes. The band continues to grow to this day. The BCB is located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, and encourages you to become involved in our organization. The DVO is comprised of talented amateur musicians from the Dundas-Hamilton area. We welcome musicians on all orchestral instruments. Our members range in age from late teens to youthful seniors. The ensemble presents three major public concerts each year and performs regularly at retirement homes in the Dundas and Greater Hamilton area.
