Aperçu

Our annual Rubber Duck Drop hosts two different races; a community race  and a corporate race allowing friends, families, neighbours and business associates to compete against each other for the winning duck! Rubber ducks will be dropped from a helicopter each race and the duck that lands on the bottom of the bucket, or closest to, will be named the winner!

Rubber Duck Race allows us to raise awareness and funding to support the young people in our community through our free evidence-based mentoring programs

The Rubber Duck Race is in support of Big Brothers Big Brothers Wood Buffalo. 

Community Rubber Duck Race (1st Race): All community members 18 years or older are invited to show their support for local youth mentorship programming through the purchase of a $10.00 rubber duck. 2000 Ducks will be available for purchase, get yours online today before they are sold out for your chance at winning one of three prize opportunities including a round-trip for two anywhere WestJet flies provided by WestJet cares for kids.

Corporate Rubber Duck Race (2nd Race): Corporate Businesses are able to show support to local youth with a $250 sponsorship! The business will receive a Rubber Duck in the corporate race as well as recognition at the event. 

Where: Syncrude Athletic Park 

When: August 11th, 2024 

Time: 12:00-3:00pm 

Races start at 2:00pm!

This family-friendly event will feature face-painting, a BBQ by donation, live music and more!
