BALANCE for Blind Adults provides customized training and support to facilitate optimal independence and community engagement for persons who are blind or living with sight loss and who often have complex needs. We have been providing support services in the city of Toronto for 40 years.

BALANCE aspires to achieve an open world for persons who are blind or living with sight loss.

Because BALANCE really does make a difference in people's lives.

Everyone in the BALANCE community has a “Because of BALANCE” story. In fact, it’s the most common feedback our staff receive, expressed as gratitude and appreciation. A donation in honour of the BALANCE difference, benefits current and future clients alike. Join us from October 15 - November 25th, as we share stories and celebrate the amazing organization that is BALANCE for Blind Adults.

BALANCE continues to receive Ministry of Health funding to cover our general expenses, but when it comes to expanded group programs, enhanced technology for training, professional development opportunities, marketing and more, BALANCE relies on grants and donations. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been able to provide hundreds of hours of groups and events programming, and we want to be able to do even more! Your donation today, will help us provide the best and most innovative programs for the sight loss community. 

The Because of BALANCE campaign is being led by incredible individuals including clients, volunteers, current staff and past staff members who are each sharing their own “Because of BALANCE” stories in support of BALANCE’s programs and services. You can reinforce an individual's unique journey by supporting one (or more!) of BALANCE’s many fundraisers. All funds raised will support the programs and services offered at BALANCE.
