Our Mission

“Almost Home”, is a self-governing organization whose mission is to provide a place of comfort and respite for families from all over Southeastern and Northern Ontario whose children are receiving inpatient or outpatient treatment at Kingston area hospitals.

About "ALMOST HOME"

Since 1992, Almost Home has opened its doors to thousands of families – some for one night, some for months. The house offers a supportive, relaxed environment during what is often a stressful and anxious time for both parents and children. Our lovely 11 bedroom home allows families to prepare meals, do their laundry or simply take a break in a warm, home-like atmosphere. Over 85% of the hours needed to keep Almost Home running smoothly are volunteer hours. Your financial contribution is truly appreciated and will permit us to continue to provide families with low cost accommodations in a friendly, supportive environment.
