Across the country, some of Canada’s most vulnerable are facing their own unique challenges in the face of COVID-19, including Canadians experiencing homelessness. For Canadians living on the street or in shelters, they are much greater risk of contracting COVID-19 as they have limited opportunities to access washroom facilities to wash their hands and are unable to self isolate or practice social distancing. Canadians experiencing homelessness are also unable to stock up on food, medication, and other essentials.
Charities and shelters are reacting quickly to support and assist vulnerable Canadians living on the street during this crisis. Please support one of the urgent appeals below to help those most in need during COVID-19.
