To the Bittern End!

Hi everyone, 

This year, we present a new team for the Carden Challenge, "To the Bittern End"! We research a bird-at-risk called the Golden-winged Warbler.  This little stunner of a bird requires a very specific habitat, one that is found in abundance in the amazing "Carden Alvar" of the Couchiching area.  The great folks at the Couchiching Conservancy help to protect the nature in this region; their tireless efforts ensure that  Golden-wings and other rare flora and fauna can persist in perpetuity! Our team will be searching high and low to see as many birds as possible in a 24 period.  We'll hopefully raise some money to protect Golden-wing habitat and have fun doing it! Our team name is "To The Bittern End", and that says it all: we intend to comb the carden for bitterns and all sorts of other birds until there are no more to find! Please help us and donate, no amount is too small!
