The goal of the Carden Challenge is to raise funds to support the stewardship of Carden’s alvars by having participants count as many species as possible during a 24-hour period. It's an exciting event that raises awareness as well as funds, and provides a snapshot of the incredible diversity of this amazing place from year to year.
We are The Bruce and Spruce Moose, an ever-evolving mixture of nature-enthused people with one thing in common: WE LOVE CARDEN! This year we are participating in the Carden Challenge in the biodiversity category, and so over the 24 hours of the challenge we'll be doing our darnedest to see every bird, butterfly, dragonfly, mammal, snake, turtle, and frog that it's humanly possible to see. If we're lucky, we'll even see our namesake: the majestic Moose.
If you'd like to support us in our lofty goal, please do click that "donate" button! All funds raised will go to the Couchiching Conservancy, doing incredible work towards the conservation of the fabulous Carden habitats. The team with the most species observed wins the prize, so you know we're going to work hard for your donation!
