Fundraiser held by Elliott McCormack (Single Malt Mack)
In support of the Newmarket Food Pantry, I have partnered with Drams for Fams to raise money through the Whisky Community on social media, and locally here in Newmarket, as well as across Ontario and Canada. The ultimate goal is to create annual fundraising events and initiatives that will help support one of the most important local community charities, The Newmarket Food Pantry.
Every dollar donated helps supply roughly 1.5 meals for those in need.
The Newmarket Food Pantry assists over 1,100 clients monthly. 35% of them being under the age of 18.
Their Mission: To embrace and mobilize community collaboration to provide emergency food relief for our neighbours in need.

"Drams for Fams started in 2016 as an initiative of the Edmonton Scotch Club. In the last 5 years we have managed to raise $80,000 for Edmonton's Food Bank. This money has helped provide food resources for 240,000 meals for local families in need.
Starting in 2018, we began inviting other whisky clubs from around the world to participate in Drams for Fams by hosting their own events and donating the money raised to a food bank or other local charity in their city or town. To date, the movement has inspired global clubs to the tune of $150K.
This grassroots initiative has turned into something pretty special. Good people drinking delicious whiskies for a great cause!"
