Rice Krispies

The Global Medicine Initiative (GMI) of the University of Toronto Leslie Dan Faculty of pharmacy and the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Montreal are joining forces to organize an online fundraiser. The event aims to raise donations for the Women and Children Chapter of the Become Part of The Story campaign, organized by the Teasdale-Corti Foundation and Lacor Hospital in Uganda.

50 students from Ontario and 50 students from Quebec are invited to purchase a bag at 10$ of our pre-packaged ingredients and make their own rice krispie. Their bag will have all the required and decorative ingredients and the latest Teasdale-Corti Foundation newsletter. On December 3^rd 2020 starting at 6pm, GMI’s executive team will demonstrate how to make the pastry in front of all the participants via this Zoom link (https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/84286346123). Students are welcome to turn on their video and show off their artistic culinary skills.

If participant do not have time on December 3^rd, they can make this dessert whenever convenient and submit a picture of their creation before December 10^th 2020 via the following methods:

The 4 winning Rice Krispies (2 winners from each affiliated region) will be selected for most creative and most aesthetically pleasing. The winners will receive a copy of the special Lacor Hospital photo book.

We hope that by uniting our schools and students, we will raise even more funds together and inspire more to donate. If you are interested in encouraging our efforts, please donate to help us achieve and surpass our goal of 1,000$.

Global Medicine Initiative (GMI) de la Faculté de pharmacie Leslie Dan de l'Université de Toronto et la Faculté de pharmacie de l'Université de Montréal s’unissent pour organiser une collecte de fonds en ligne. L'événement vise à amasser des dons pour le chapitre Femmes et enfants de la campagne Faites partie de l’Histoire, organisée par la Fondation Teasdale-Corti et l'Hôpital Lacor, en Ouganda.

Pour l’évènement, 50 étudiants de l'Ontario et 50 étudiants du Québec sont invités à acheter, au coût de 10$, des sacs d’ingrédients préemballés contenant tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner des “Rice Krispies”. Il sera possible de les cuisiner en direct sur Zoom pendant l’évènement. Ces sacs contiendront tous les ingrédients nécessaires et décoratifs ainsi que le dernier bulletin de la Fondation Teasdale-Corti. Le 3 décembre 2020 à partir de 18h, l’équipe de direction de GMI démontrera comment faire la pâtisserie devant tous les participants via ce lien Zoom (https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/84286346123). Les étudiants sont invités à allumer leur caméra et à montrer leurs talents culinaires artistiques.

Si le participant n'a pas le temps le 3 décembre, il peut réaliser ce dessert quand bon lui semble et soumettre une photo de sa création avant le 10 décembre 2020 via les méthodes suivantes:

Les 4 Rice Krispies gagnants (2 gagnants de chaque région affiliée) seront sélectionnés selon les plus créatifs et les plus esthétiques. Les gagnants recevront un exemplaire du livre photo spécial de l'Hôpital Lacor.
