A Race Against Darkness: GM Employees Take on 152KM for Mental Health Awareness
On May 23, 2025, two GM Canada employees will set out on an extraordinary journey—running and walking 152 kilometers non-stop from GM CAMI (Ingersoll) to GM St. Catharines. Their mission? To raise awareness for men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
The race is organized in partnership with the Buddy Up Campaign, a national initiative dedicated to promoting men’s mental health and preventing suicide. With deep personal connections to the cause, the two colleagues are determined to spark conversations, reduce stigma, and bring communities together.
The Journey:
- Date: May 23, 2025
- Start: GM CAMI at 7:30 AM
- Distance: 152KM of continuous running and walking
- Planned Arrival: GM St. Catharines around 12:00 PM on May 24
How You Can Support: Cheer on the runners as they take on this incredible challenge or share their story to help raise awareness. Every conversation, show of support, and shared message makes a difference in breaking the stigma around mental health.
Let’s stand together as a GM family and support this inspiring journey—one step at a time.
