Pull Together Fire Truck Pull 2016

Sadie Augustyn is the reason we participate in this event.  Sadie would tell you that she doesn't take episodes or spells, she takes seizures.  At the age of 10, Sadie was diagnosed with epilepsy. She would tell you that strong people stand up for themselves and the strongest stand up for others. So as the strongest we are standing up for Sadie. Sadie is a 14 year old girl heading to Holy Cross Secondary School in the fall and she has never let her Epilepsy define her. Sadie has taken control of her disease and manages it on her own terms. 

we are honoured to pull together for Sadie, and we hope that one day we will have played a small part in helping to find a cure and make you aware of Epilepsy

Sadie tells me that Epilepsy is just proof that she has a brain.
