About Fundraiser
Fundraiser by Project Volya
Project Volya is a Canadian civilian initiative that delivers life-saving tactical medical supplies to Ukraine. We are 100% volunteer run without administrative costs and our unique value is that we have a strong network that allows us to deliver the supplies directly into the hands of qualified Ukrainian Medics. Our founder, Kevin Leach, is a Canadian citizen who resides in Kyiv and manages our operations in Ukraine directly.
There is a constant shortage of quality medical supplies to supply Ukraine’s civilians and defenders. The war is a large scale war of attrition, which means that casualty and wounded in action rates are very high. With all the emphasis on lethal aid (weapons) and drones, the items that make up an IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) have been neglected by larger organizations. Our mission is to fill this gap.
In 2022, we successfully delivered $50,000 worth of medical supplies to medics on the front lines in Eastern and Southern Ukraine. We rely on our network of Ukrainian surgeons, physicians and medics to provide us with their most critical needs and we adjust our purchases accordingly. The most commonly requested items are quality tourniquets, chest seals and hemostatic gauze. Last year we delivered a significant amount of supplies to medics on the front line from the 130th Battalion defending Kharkiv. We have also established a special relationship with the 72nd Mechanized Brigade, defending Vuhledar, and continue to deliver critical supplies directly to their medics.
Our team member, Milos Pospisil, will be going on his third trip to Ukraine in late May/early June to meet up with Kevin and deliver supplies to the front lines. He will also make his second delivery of highly specialized paediatric surgical equipment to a Children's Hospital in Kyiv. We ask for your help in achieving our fundraising target to maximize the impact of this upcoming trip. Help us save as many lives as possible. Thank you.
