Each year, medical students from the MUN Medicine Adventure Sports Club run or hike up the historic Signal Hill Park in St. John's, NL everyday for the month of October in support of a local charity. This year we are fundraising for Thrive, which is a part of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Community Youth Networks (CYNs), who support at-risk youth and young adults by addressing gaps in services, building community partnerships, increasing awareness of existing programs and services, and conducting outreach to the most marginalized individuals. Their mission is to assist vulnerable individuals achieve their full potential and enhance the capacity of social serving agencies. Due to rising food costs, Thrive could benefit from additional funding to help sustain their meal/snack program to the end of the year. We will be running/hiking Signal Hill daily to support, engage with, and raise awareness of the challenges faced by youth and young adults in our community!
Anyone is welcome to participate!
