Fundraising Goal
About Fundraiser
Fundraiser by MaxTech 4343
During September to April, MaxTech 4343 competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition, where we are assigned a challenge or game and must build a robot that can efficiently perform the required tasks. This season, our challenge was to build a robot that could pick up cones and cubes and place them on rods and platforms in a specific pattern. When we are not competing, the team runs community initiatives like our FIRST Lego League and FIRST Tech Challenge events where elementary and high school students have the opportunity to engage in fun, educational competitions that enhance their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), in addition to their leadership skills. We also run workshops like our new MaxAcademy program, where we introduce students in grades 1-8 to STEM. MaxAcademy also contains curriculum connections for each grade level so the workshops can act as a supplementary lesson that supports teachers’ unit plans.
Each year MaxTech requires upwards of $30,000 to build, design, and fabricate our robot, in addition to paying our registration fees and supporting the local community through our outreach programs. We rely heavily on our friends, family, and community members to support our efforts each year.
We are excited to keep helping others, and driving innovation, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and leadership in the community, and with your support, we can continue making a difference.
