Let's Shave Anna

My name is Anastasia, and I am 15 years old. I am doing this fundraiser to support everyone with cancer. I found a picture on the internet once, and it was of a little girl. She was in a hospital room drawing on a mirror. On that Mirror, she drew her dream of having hair. This girl had cancer. Cancer is the leading cause of death in Canada and is responsible for 30% of all deaths. (Info from cancer.ca) Every 3 minutes a child is diagnosed with Cancer worldwide and 80% of these children can’t afford treatment. 100% of them are emotionally affected and 75% are talked about by other people due to prolonged absences from chemotherapy. I want to help them in any way I can. I know some people who have cancer and I have learned how much suffering they go through to fight it. Even if they beat cancer, the suffering doesn't stop. They are fighting a psychological battle. I don't know how hard it can be to go out in public and have people staring at you. But I may soon if I reach my fundraising goal, as I will then shave my head.

I will be getting my hair cut and donated to Angel hair for kids to be made into a wig for a kid who has lost their hair due to cancer or some other illness. If my fundraiser reaches $2000 by October 16, I will get my head shaved as well. On october 17, Victoria at Art and Soul will be donating her time to cut my hair, and possibly shave my head. I would like to thank Victoria as well as Art and soul, for supporting this great cause.
