The SHINE Music Bursary is awarded annually to youth (aged 16-24) from Toronto and the surrounding area who are struggling to support their study or practice of folk/traditional music. The Bursary honours the memories of late musicians Jim Fay, James Gray, Doug Queen and Bruce Adamson.

SHINE Bursary funds are administered by SKETCH. The Bursary is funded through the annual SHINE CONCERT event and through individual donations. Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, individual donations have become more important than ever to help support young musicians.
