Haiti is the poorest country in the Western hemisphere and this school on the side of the mountain is doing its best to educate about 250 precious children living in the slums below.
Allison Orthner has visited the school three times to help build and teach art... in July 2016 she was able to help build a brand new ART room with funds raised by Creative Scrapbooker magazine, their readers and Crop for Haiti art events held all across Canada!!
This new Art room is on the rooftop of this mountain school overlooking the city of Cap Haitien below where students will be able to learn art, music, dance, etc. Plans are also underway to continue fulfilling some dreams of a breakfast program, library, adult education and even a safe house for girls.
We invite everyone interested to help make these dreams come true... what a beautiful picture Canadians helping others who desperately need it in Haiti.
For more information, please see our Hope for Haiti website or Live Different the Canadian non-profit organization who oversees this project!!
