Fundraiser by the Sibley Family
To honour the memory of our Mom, Diane Sibley, we ask that donations be made to the New Relationship Trust Education (K-12) Grants.
The highlight of her accomplished teaching career was her work with the First Nations' education program in Gold River BC and the rest of School District 84.
Our Mom, known to most as Mrs. Sibley, cared deeply about creating a learning environment where First Nations students not only learned reading, writing and other academics, but also learned about, shared and celebrated their culture.
With her creative skills, love of the arts, and the relationships that she built between the schools and the local Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation, she helped her students create beautiful drums, paintings, and cedar bark crafts which became an integral part of fine arts education for all of the children and teens at Ray Watkins Elementary School and Gold River Secondary School.
By supporting the work of NRT and their Education Grants (https://newrelationshiptrust.ca/apply-for-funding/first-nation-funding-grants/education-k-12-grants/) you will contribute to Diane's legacy living on in education programs for First Nations children across British Columbia.
Thank you for your donation and for joining us in celebrating the life of our Mom.
- Lyn, Dana, and Paul
