Our Toronto-based private refugee sponsorship group, the Ripple Refugee Project, has successfully sponsored and settled 21 people from Syria, Eritrea and Myanmar in Canada since 2015.
This year, our group is sponsoring a family of four from Eritrea who could arrive in Canada any time.
The father, who was forced to flee more than a decade ago and is living in limbo in a neighboring country, will be reunited with his three teenage children for the first time after 13 years!
The children recently fled Eritrea to avoid the repressive country’s forced, often indefinite and inhuman military service, and are living in precarious circumstances in Ethiopia.
We need to raise $ 50,000 for the settlement expenses for the first year.
With your help, we have an opportunity to reunite this father with his three kids and to completely change the trajectory of their lives to one of hope and opportunity.
