Help the Nelson Electric Tramway!

The Nelson Electric Tramway was once a cornerstone of transportation in our small mountain town. Though the many tracks have since been replaced by laneways for cars, Streetcar #23 continues to run along the lakeside in the summer; a piece of local heritage enjoyed by visitors and locals of all ages.

Like all machines however, upkeep and maintenance are required for them to continue to run. As such, the Nelson Electric Tramway Society (NETS) spends a vast amount of time and funds ensuring Streetcar #23 can run every year. This season, an especially large amount of work is needed on the tracks, involving an assessment and construction work. This small labour-of-love society needs our help to make sure Streetcar #23 is open for summer 2022!
