Help Dr. Emily volunteer in Uganda in Feb 2025!

Hi everyone!

After hearing about Bridge to Health and their incredible projects from my associate Dr Ceara Higgins (who did 2 volunteer trips with them several years ago), I've always wanted to go! Now that my kids are older and I've been in practice for 20 years I wanted to do something completely different. I will be going with other Bridge to Health volunteers (including a team of Medical Doctors, Dentists and Chiropractors) to Uganda in February 2025 for two weeks. We will help educate local populations on the prevention and treatment of diseases and disorders, train and support local community health care workers through mentorship and lectures and we will conduct research with the local university to identify and inform cost-effective, long term solutions. I'm hoping to collaborate with and share some of the knowledge and skills I've learned over my years of practice and training to make a difference on a more global and lasting scale. As many of you know, I love to travel and volunteering has always been a part of my life. When I volunteer I always feel I get back so much more than what I could ever give. In this case, I feel that volunteering with a project abroad like this one that is so sustainable was my ultimate goal. I truly appreciate any support you choose to give to get me there!
