Guatemala Mission 2019

The Greenbank Seagrave Mission Team (GS Mission Team)  is embarking on their fourth Mission Trip to Guatemala in April 2019.

Guatemala is a complex society that is divided between rich and poor with just less than half of the population under the age of 14 years.  Almost 80% of the population lives under the poverty line. Many children that are handicapped in some way are hidden, kept at home, lonely or abandoned.  To tell these needy children and their families that we care is simply not enough. 

We strive to provide hopeand assistance in transformingthe lives of families and children in rural Guatemala through self-sustaininginitiatives.  We provide women's workshops, children's bible studies, youth activities, build homes and schools. We offer teen and adult training programs to promote self-sustainment, hygiene, family planning, sewing, baking, cooking as well as programs assisting individuals in the ability to obtain better jobs and to increase their chances of breaking the cycle of poverty. 

The GS Mission Team, part of the United Church of Canada has committed to build healthy, thriving communities in Parramos, Paraxaj, LaHermita, Corrales and Parrojas, Guatemala, and we urgently need your help.

Your support enables the GS Mission Team  to make a difference. Our goal is to raise $35,000 by March 2019 enabling us to continue our work within the communities that promote self-sufficiency and sustainable programs.

• $80 = Teacher’s Supplies
• $100 = Sewing Supplies for Women’s Co-op

$500-$1499 Gold** Recognition Includes:

• all of the above, plus:
• framed keepsake image of your Name/Company Name (and logo) during Mission
• Company logo on our Banner of Appreciation during fundraising events

$1500-$2499 Platinum** Recognition Includes:

• all of the above, plus:
• Company logo on Mission Team shirt
• Invitation to participate in photoshoot and special mention in accompanying press release to be submitted to local media

$2500+ Diamond* Recognition Includes:

• all of the above, plus:
• custom recognition package tailored upon sponsorship
