Get Medical Aid to Tigray

United Tegaru Canada has partnered with Health Partners International Canada (HPIC) to deliver Humanitarian Medical Kits to the victims of the humanitarian crisis in Tigray. We are partnering with HPIC to send 40 Humanitarian medical kits that will provide 24,000 treatments for victims in Tigray. 

HPIC is a registered charity dedicated to increasing access to medicine and improving health for the world’s more vulnerable people. Since 1990 HPIC has provided over $600 million in donated medical supplies to approximately 25 million people in 130 countries. They have also been working in Ethiopia, including Tigray, since 2003 and have mobilized over $600,000 in medicine throughout the country. On June 30th they partnered with Children Believe and sent 10 Medical kits to Tigray. 

One kit contains about 600 treatments, and will have a 1 year shelf life from the day it arrives in Ethiopia. The items in these kits are donated by Canadian Pharmaceutical companies and the healthcare industry. The kits being sent to Tigray will contain items determined by a needs assessment done by Ayder hospital. Sample kits contain antibiotics, pain medications and electrolytes and more. 

But we need your help to get these kits there! The total cost to achieve this response is $40,000 CAD. Your donation will go towards the cost of mobilizing medication to those affected by the war in Tigray. The first shipment of 10 kits (6,000 treatments) will leave at the end of August. UTC has pledged to rally support from across our communities to raise $10,000
