Update on our Fundraiser Progress (May 23, 2015)

WE MADE IT!  WE HAVE RECEIVED DONATIONS OF CASH AND ON-LINE OF $5,625!

Thank you for all your help.  Together we have made a real difference.  Watch for our Water Refilling Stations in the Erin and Hillsburgh Arenas coming September, 2015.

Our Fundraiser for Water Bottle Filling Stations AND Community Water Projects Begins

Hello we are from the grade 6 Water Rocker team from Erin Public School.

We would like to thank Erin Town Council for supporting us in organizing a community fundraiser! We care deeply about our local water supply and our Water Rockers believe that every drop of water that we help to conserve is a success!

Last year. we convinced all of our downtown stores to join the Blue W program, to celebrate customers who carry reusable drinking containers with them.

And after 2 years, we have convinced 90% of our staff and students to use reusable water bottles at our school every day. Having water bottle refilling stations installed throughout our school has had an enormous impact. They are easy to use and don't make big puddles on the floor like the old drinking fountains used to.

Our class has measured the savings in energy, water and money that have happened because of our school of 350 students using reusable bottles instead of plastic ones. The results are mind blowing!! Imagine what that would mean for an entire community like Erin.

We are excited about helping change the environmental habits of the students, staff, parents and community members- and it's those habits that are ultimately going to protect our amazing local water supply for years to come!

Now, with your help, we would like to raise $5000 by June 1st so that:  1) more water bottle refilling stations can be installed throughout our community AND 2) we can put funds towards future Community Water Rocker projects.

We have even set up this website so that people can make online donations, and get tax receipts for donations over $25.
