On Sunday June 28, 2015 Toronto Ribfest is holding an Ebola Relief Concert - the first of its kind in Canada and long overdue. The concert will be at the Toronto Ribfest (www.torontoribfest.com) in Centennial Park is west Toronto.
The concert is being presented by: Rotary Etobicoke and the Help Fight Ebola Canada alliance.
While the news about the virus and its effects remains very distant to most of us, for the team at Help Fight Ebola Canada it is personal. The cousin of one of the founders, Dr. Sheik Humarr Khan, became infected with the Ebola virus and died while working saving lives of other Ebola victims. As a young man in Sierra Leone, Dr. Khan became fascinated with love of saving lives and helping people, especially those less fortunate. He is credited for saving more than 100 lives during this crisis.
Please donate to this very worthy cause, and help us work with the people in West Africa to rebuild their fragile countries and social systems.
Donations receive a tax receipt (Canadian).
