About Fundraiser

Fundraiser by Patrick Swadden

On March 20, 2020, I climbed the 42 storeys (112m ascent) of my apartment building 55 times in a row. That is the height of Mt. Denali in Alaska, North America's highest peak.

I started at 5:05am and finished at 1:16am (March 21st), totalling 20 hours and 11 minutes. It was the hardest physical challenge I have ever completed.

Over 80 people have donated in excess of $4,400 for Partners in Health Canada (PIH). PIH's directors tell me that at $7.00 for each COVID-19 testing kit, we have produced over 500 testing kits. The fundraiser is going to be left open indefinitely (for now) as Canada Helps has assured me PIH Canada will receive additional funds each Thursday.

CBC's Carol Off interviewed me on As It Happens: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/asithappens/as-it-happens-friday-edition-1.5504586/this-man-is-climbing-mount-denali-for-charity-from-inside-his-apartment-building-1.5504594
