Dan Allaston is participating in the 2015 Dream Mountains Everest Base Camp trek, in support of The Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation / Ride For Dad.
I am the owner of New Moon Tattoo in Ottawa. I have been a tattoo artist for more than 33 years.
I never had any plans to climb Mount Everest but a good friend Bob Connolly was going to, and had to step down due to a broken heart (Oh you girls) I was asked if I wanted to take his place, there was no way I could pass up the opportunity to climb with Shawn Dawson to raise money for the Dream Mountains Foundation.
My charity for this trek is The Motorcycle Ride for Dad, and the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation. On several levels this is a perfect fit, I have lost family members to prostate cancer, and I have been motorcycle crazy since getting my first bike at nine years of age.
