As COVID-19 begins to expand its devastating reach across Canada, it seems like every day a new domain of our life becomes impacted in a way we previously thought unimaginable. As many people are pooling resources and doing their best to support people on the frontlines of this pandemic it is incredible to see communities staying stronger than ever during such a difficult time. Graydon Staples and Luke Lambert are finding a new way to help people that are most in need. Graydon and Luke have grown up together in the community of Horseshoe Valley, Ontario. This year the goal of running a marathon becomes a reality in an effort to support people most impacted by COVID-19. After hours of extensive research and zoom calls with many charitable organizations, we came to the conclusion that the University of Toronto's COVID-19 action fund was the organization where our fundraising efforts are best put to use. This university is at the forefront of medical research and their unique connections and relationships with world-class hospitals so close to home mean that they are in a position to make a significant difference in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Luke and Graydon will complete the Conquer COVID-19: Run For Relief on June 14th, 2020.
