Who I’m Fundraising for:
SVP Teens is a program of Social Venture Partners Waterloo Region (SVPWR) that unites some of the region’s most passionate youth to turn their ambitions into tangible action, create meaningful change in their communities, and inspire a life-long desire to give back. Every year, SVP Teens fundraises toward the SVP Teens Community Grant, which is awarded to a charity chosen by the teens in May.
About My Personal Challenge:
For the months of February and March, all SVP Teens members are challenged to individually fundraise on behalf of SVP Teens. Teens like myself are taking on a personal challenge, mine being that I will learn and perfect the choreography to a K-Pop song every week despite having virtually no experience in dancing. Throughout the process, I’d love to have your cheers and support in the form of donations—all proceeds are contributed toward the SVP Teens Community Grant!
Why I’m Taking Part:
I've been an avid K-Pop fan since 2017 and have always wanted to learn the choreographies to my favourite K-Pop songs; however, my lack of experience in dancing has deterred me away from seriously doing so. By taking on this personal challenge while fundraising for a charitable cause, I hope to stay motivated while having fun!
How You Can Support Me:
Please donate to support this fundraiser! Every dollar counts, and you can feel good knowing you’re helping a local youth-led initiative achieve our annual fundraising goal. I will be documenting my progress along the way, so if you want to follow along, check out @svpteens’s Instagram stories! I will also periodically update this page with photos of my learning process.
